Maarten is a marketer and event manager with a huge interest in human behaviour. With a background in marketing & commerce and currently finalising his postgraduate study in the field of Marketing, Consumption & Society at the University of Limerick he has is largely interested in the combination of product development management, consumer behaviour and behavioural economics.
Working as a marketer in a multinational environment for several years and doing his postgraduate study abroad has made Maarten a person that can understand cultural challenges and underpin the minor changes that sometimes have huge impact in the success or failure of a product or service. As an academic Maarten has a huge interest in the irrationality that humans show in carrying out a certain behaviour, how irrational behaviour can be caused and how it can influence the human decision making process.
